Some of the artists I spoke with that day were Barry Pechersky and Richard Sted, both pottery artists. Their work was wonderful, but they were just as wonderful to talk with, too. Richard had one piece left of his "naked pottery", seen below, and it was really amazing to hold - rough on the outside, but smooth on the inside. He said the raw clay looked like lava!

Barry's pottery was beautiful as well! His explained some of the process of glazing the plates - I just remember that he uses wax to keep the colors from mixing!

Marion Renee creates "wearable art" by painting on blue jean material and then handcrafting a purse. The purse below is one of her newer log-style purses and the wood is hand pieced by her husband.

Nancy Lawson has exquisite and intricate bead embroidered jewelry! The beads were so tightly embroidered together I could not see one speck of the felt she used as a base.

Jill Mollenhaur's work was just as great in person, and even better! I discovered she also does the welding of her base pieces. I really love these because they are different, fun and whimsical. I think having these in any garden would bring a smile to someone's face!

Lisa Meeham of Mama Gourds has a unique art - one I have never seen before. Her gourd pieces are fascinating and full of detail. I also loved that her daughter's drawings were the inspiration for some of her pieces.

Lek Namnath's purses and totes reminded me of AYC. This is the first time I have seen felt purses by another artist. She explained that using a bucket helps to shape some of her purses or totes.

My last vendor to visit with for the day was Lisa Confetti. I stopped because my sister and I both love art, and we also love history. Lisa uses art images long out of copyright date to create reversible necklaces. The images are captured between pieces of resin.
