The Frontier Scholarship Program is our way of giving back to the Austin Artist community. As The Lone Star Ladies, Allison and I wanted to encourage young people to follow their dreams of pursing art as a career.
From now until March 31st, students who are graduating from an AISD school and wish to study the applied arts can complete the Frontier Scholarship Application.
The scholarship recipient will have the option to use the funds for traditional and non-traditional education or study of the applied arts, and will also receive a gift certificate(s) to local art and craft supply stores from the
What's the coolest part? The Scholarship Recipient will receive their award at The Lone Star Ladies Present: Shop Austin, which is a major fundraiser for the Frontier Scholarship. The finalists will have their work showcased at this event, alongside 50 handmade artisans, crafters and designers from
$5.00 of each ticket to Shop Austin, as well as all money generated from the afternoon opportunity drawings, will help fund Frontier. Several sponsors of Shop Austin, such as “Extra!Extra! Sponsor, Country Lifestyle, are supporting the Frontier Scholarship as well!
