Frontier Sponsor Spotlight: Country and Art

Frontier, The Lone Star Ladies' Scholarship, is in full swing with applications and they are coming in - yeah!  Anne Marie and I are so happy to be able to expand our support of the handmade arts with this scholarship for graduating seniors from an AISD school, and we are happy to spotlight two of our sponsors specifically supporting Frontier:

Country Lifestyle is the Heart of Texas’ only subscriber based premier, bi-monthly, lifestyle magazine serving a growing audience of affluent and active consumers. Kelley Jo Glick, editor & publisher of CL, has been a great supporter of Shop Austin and Frontier.  We have a featured event on their website, and they chose to showcase the work of Shop Austin Vendor,  Lucy Blue Studio

I found out about Country Lifestyle through one of our vendors, Mystic Angel Creations, because they have done features on her work before.  CL's print version has regular features such as "Panache" for that just right choice in gifts or shopping, "The Texas Artist", which spotlights artists from all over Texas and their "Datebook", proving there's never a dull moment in the Hill Country.

CL will be at Shop Austin 2010, and provide magazines for each of our goodie bags!  Right now you can subscribe to CL and support Frontier.  The yearly subscription is only $14.95 and they are donating $5.00 of each subscription to Frontier.  It's a great way to find out what's going on in the Hill Country and to support our scholarship at the same time - Subscribe TODAY!  If you are a handmade vendor in the Hill Country, be sure to submit your work to CL and maybe you will get featured, to!

There are many ways to support Frontier, and Catherine Hart, manager of Jerry's Artarama in Austin is giving a nice surprise - they are donating two gift certificates - one to be raffled off to support Frontier, and one will be given to the scholarship recipient for supplies of their choice!

Jerry's Artarama is the largest art supply store in Central Texas.  With 16,000 sq. feet of shopping space, quality supplies, affordable materials, and knowledgeable and friendly staff, Catherine knows Jerry's Artarama has something for everyone.  She is also a fellow artist and understands the importance of creating and making magic through art.  We are very thankful for her support!

Jerry's Artarama is located at 6010 North IH35, Austin, TX 78752, 512-420-9508 (Map It) www.austin.jerrysartaramastore.com

You don't want to miss out on seeing the Frontier Scholarship winner announced or taking a chance on the great raffle prizes we have to support Frontier - save the date - April 17th and you can Shop Austin!

XO,
allison
