Vendor View with Norea & Mystic Angel Creations

A new vendor, and a returning one.  A vendor from Austin, and one from Spring.  One who uses fabrics and one who uses dominoes.  Where can you find these two vendors?  At Shop Austin 2010!

Aeron Aanstoos of Norea sells bags, accessories and pillows made from fabulous fabrics, incorporating quilting, machine embroidery, fabric origami and lots of fun!

What makes your products uniquely "Austin"?
My products represent a unique mix of styles, textures, and cultural influences - just like Austin!

Who is your biggest inspiration?
My family, who encourage me to keep learning and (usually) tolerate my creative messes.

What is your favorite "Austin" thing to do, or restaurant to eat at, or place to go?
Sipping a margarita at Chuy's, seeing Master Pancake at Alamo Drafthouse, shopping with friends.

**********

Art-to-wear, handcrafted wire-wrapped jewelry which utilizes vintage dominoes, lampwork beads and other quality materials in the design of pendants, earrings and interwoven and crocheted bracelets can all be found at the booth of Mystic Angel Creations, founded by Sandy Forest-Hartman in 2001.  She is also using vintage poker chips to make badge and reading glass holders.

Who is your biggest inspiration?
My daughter & son are my biggest inspiration and I am thrilled about my daughter joining my business.  My inspiration and creativity come from within--making quality, affordable pieces that anyone can buy and enjoy is very fulfilling.

What is your favorite "Austin" thing to do, or restaurant to eat at, or place to go?
Finding an out-of-the-way thrift or antique store that has tremendous "finds".  Spaghetti Warehouse and that fabulous restaurant on Lake Travis are tied for my favorite Austin restaurant.

Fabric and domino creations, two vendors - one new and one returning.  Shop Austin is an event you don't want to miss!  Purchase your tickets today and don't forget to stop by these vendors' fabulous table!

XO,
allison
